Senior Georgina Bolanos is now back in business with “The Rosette” Newspaper as a Co-Editor-In-Chief. Unlike The Power Puff Girls she was made with a lot of sugar, a pinch of spice and  a bit too much of Chemical X by the professor, she had to fly out of town to save not only her new and returning staffers but her Co-Editor-In-Chief Isaac John. Isaac turned into a glump of slime as the staffers turned into mini crabs, Gina kicked, punched, flipped, and tackled Mojo Jojo. After he was down Gina then stole a pot from a local Walmart and put her staffers who were crabs into a pot then collected the glump of slime who happened to be Isaac. Gina flew home fast and boiled both Isaac and the staffers, she then poured in sugar and Chemical X to turn them back into something more than humans….they now are reborn into superhumans! Currently everyone is working together on a big plan to take down the biggest enemy of all, the true mastermind Ms. Sidhu.

Reporting with heart and insight : Bolanos shares how journalism changed her life.

From her first moments to now her love for writing took her into many different adventures. When she opens her notebook her mind is already spirling in many thoughts. Her deep affection for journaling has given her an opportunity to tell not only her story but a story from.

Senior Georgina Bolanos is filled with interest. She loves both writing and getting to interact with others.

“When I was younger I really liked writing,” Bolanos said. “When I found out there was a journalism class in high school I knew that was what I wanted to do. During my junior year I got introduced to “The Rosette” newspaper. The reason I got into journalism is because I am a person who is always curious. I will always want to know who, what, when, where, and how. I am just so curious about everything, especially when it comes to people, every person has their own story and I want to be able to share those moments with others.”

Before setting her mind in stone about being a journalist she considered doing something else.

“Growing up there has always been different things I wanted to do,” Bolanos said. ¨The first thing I loved and had a passion for was science. My dad was a science lover, because of him I decided I wanted to pursue that. Later on I started to really like writing, now that I am in high school and found out about the journalism organization I felt so drawn into it, now making me find my new passion. I am happy where I am.”

Joining this organization caused her to meet a wonderful caring teacher who Georgina is very fond of.

“The first person I met going into journalism was Ms. Sidhu,” Bolanos said. “She is a very sweet and loving person, she made me feel comfortable and safe. At first I wanted to get into yearbook, but then Ms.Sidhu told me I should be in newspaper instead, Ms. Sidhu taught me not only academic lessons but life long skills. She was really why everything started, that’s why I’m here today because I met her.”

When she was accepted into the newspaper team she knew that was where she was meant to be. There are great people that came into her life that now have an impact on her.

“Newspaper in general has made me feel wanted,” Bolanos said. “It’s not the class, it’s the people, the organization. I want people to feel wanted and loved like I did. I really had a lot of fun last year. I got to meet so many different people and lifelong friends. We are just a group of teens that are silly and giggly trying to make the best out of everything. A moment that I really enjoyed was going to strike-and-real. It is a field trip that both yearbook and newspaper go to, it’s like this arcade, bowling alley and theater. I feel like that’s the time where newspaper and yearbook get to talk to each other and just bond. That field trip was definitely one of my best moments. Moments with being with each other whether it was with yearbook or just my newspaper team it is definitely a once in a lifetime experience I’ll get to have.”

Through her high school career, journalism was the one thing that stood out to her to where she even considers to pursue it in the future.

“I plan to make journalism my career by educating myself more on it,” Bolanos said. “I definitely think there’s so much more to journalism that I don’t know about. What makes me want to make this my lifelong career is the way I get to be around others. As a people person I not only enjoy others company but I enjoy conversing and getting to know others. I am in love with the fact that I have the ability to share stories of any kind about anyone.”
