5. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero

Release Date: TBD

After the success of the Broly movie, Dragon Ball Super has returned for another film coming soon. Super Hero is the continuation to the events of the TV series and film, Broly. The plotline consists of Goku and his allies interacting with the Red Ribbon Army, a villain organization that was defeated by Goku on multiple occasions. Two androids named Gamma 1 & 2 have reformed the organization and are plotting revenge against Goku once again.

4. Spy x Family

Release Date: April 2022 (first part), TBD (second part)

Selling over 12 million copies, Spy x Family has become the new face for the action and comedy genres. The approach for Spy x Family takes a dive of wholesomeness and adorable moments with a mix of crazy action! There lies a family with unique traits; Loid, a spy. Yor, an assassin. Anya, an orphan who can read minds. And Bond, a dog who can predict the future. Loid is on a mission to create a fake family to get closer to his target, Donovan Desmond.

3. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War

Release Date: October 2022

In 2012, the final episode to the beloved series Bleach premiered on screen. Now, 10 years later, the anime series is finally returning for its final season! The plot of the story focuses on Ichigo Kurosaki meeting a Soul Reaper named Rukia who is confronted by a Hollow. To protect his town from the Hollows, Rukia offers her powers to Ichigo, making him a substitute Soul Reaper. Thousand-Year Blood War is the final arc of the series, and the anime will adapt all of the remaining chapters.

2. Demon Slayer: Entertainment District arc

Release Date: Dec. 9, 2021

The mesmerizing anime Demon Slayer has returned for a second season and continues to amaze many fans of the series! The Entertainment District arc is a continuation of the 2019 TV series and 2020 film. The plotline consists of Tanjiro and Nezuko, his demon sister, embarking on a journey to search for the culprit responsible for slaughtering their family. The newest season will have Tanjiro and company meeting Sound Pillar Tengen Uzui to find the source behind the mysterious disappearances that occur in Yoshiwara. 

1. Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2

Release Date: Jan. 9

At last, the most anticipated anime that students are now watching is the conclusion to the Attack on Titan series. With the first part of the final season airing last year, it’s no surprise that people have waited to see the ending to this overwhelming series. Eren Yeager begins his path to slaughter the Titans, who destroys his village and kills his mother. Years have passed, weaponry has evolved, armies have grown larger, and Titans are becoming a lesser issue than before. Whatever Eren and the Survey Corps are scheming will alter humanity and life itself. 

 

As there are more anticipated anime coming out in 2022, these have been the ones that students are looking forward to the most. Whatever anime you watch will become remarkable in the future, so watch to your heart’s content!
